A view of the Garden |
This
is the first sensorial garden for Alzheimer patients
in Rome. It aims at stimulating senses to contrast the
cognitive decline and strengthen the capabilities still
left to patients. According to the most recent scientific
acquisitions, this garden would contribute in reducing
behavioural disorders, time confusion and “wandering”,
i.e. purposeless roaming about. |
Professor
Sandra Fanfoni, Director of the Geriatric Operative
Department of the “Regina Margherita” Hospital
provided her scientific advice to the realisation of
this project. |
