Amidst the prestigious and artistic background of the Oratorio of the Gonfalon in Rome, the traditional Christmas Concert, in the presence of T.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies and Princess Camilla of Bourbon Two Sicilies Duke and Duchess of Calabria, took place.
Among the authorities in attendance were His Eminence the Cardinal Grand Prior and Prince Alessandrojacopo Ludovisi Altemps Delegate for Lazio as well as H.E. Giuseppe Balboni Acqua Ambassador of Italy to the Holy See,

H.E. John Joseph the Ambassador of Austria to the Holy See accompanied by his wife, H.E. Emilio Marin the Ambassador of Croatia to the Holy See, H.E. Machado Barrouin the Ambassador of Brasil and H.E. Samir Al Kassir Ambassador of Siria, General Sabato Palazzo, Marquis Gaetano Sersale, Princess Delfina Massimo Lancellotti, the Duchess Altea Altemps di Gallese, Marquises Francesco and Serena Capranica del Grillo.

The Orchestra “Duca di Calabria” performed compositions by Paisiello, Pergolesi Scarlatti, Berlini and by S. Alfonso Maria de’ Liguori. The orchestra entitled after the Duke of Calabria with the intention to honour the illustrious musical culture of the Court of the Two Sicilies,has been authorized by H.R.H. the Duke himself to make use of his name by a patented letter.

The musicians who play in the orchestra are all professionals and are able to perform different kinds of compositions from the “Duos” to the typical Neapolitan sonatas.

His Eminence Cardinal Renato Raffaele Martino, President of the Pontifical Council for Peace and Justice and Bailiff Knight of Grand Cross of Justice of the Constantinian Order, celebrated the XXV Anniversary of the Episcopal Ordination in the Basilica of Santi Apostoli in Rome. The Cardinal presided a Solemn Eucharistic Celebration amongst his friends and relatives.The Mass was co celebrated by H.E. Cardinal Angelo Sodano, State Secretary;

H.E. Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, President of the Pontifical Council for the Family; H.E. Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, Prefect of the Congregation of Bishops;ì H.E. Crescenzio Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Nations, as well as Bailiff Knight of Grand Cross of Justice of our Order; Bernard Francis Law Archpriest of the Liberian Patriarchal Basilica Giovanni Canestri Emeritus Archbishop of Genova and Sergio Sebastiani , President of the Prefecture of the Economical Affairs to the Holy See. Also many Bishops, Archbishops and Presbyters who co operate with President, membersof the Pontifical Council for Peace and Justice, were in attendance to co celebrate the Mass. Mons. Giampaolo Crepaldi, Secretary General of the Pontifical Council, commented the Homily and read the message of greetings by His Holiness Benedict XVI. H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies Duke of Calabria and Grand Prefect of the Order paid a tribute to Cardinal Martini with a congratulatorymessage from Prince Ferdinand, Grand Master of the Order and a donation from the Constantinian knights and dames to be devolved for charity purposes.
Among those in attendance were Prince Paolo Boncompagni Ludovisi President of the Royal Deputation; Prince Alessandrojacopo Boncompagni Ludovisi Altemps, Delegate for Rome and Lazio, Constantinian knight Commander Marco Cecilia Member of the Royal Juridical Council and Constantinian knight Vincenzo Giovagnorio, Master of Ceremonies of the Order. At the end of the ceremony, Cardinal Martini publicly expressed his affectionfor the Constantinian Delegation that soon after went to greet him in the sacristy.

The Representation of Pavia jointly with the Delegation of Lombardy headed by Prince Augusto Ruffo di Calabria, celebrated the liturgical memory of Saint Lucy Martyr in the Basilica of San Lanfranco.
For the occasion many gifts were distributed to the little patients of “Dosso Verde”, a treatment centre for children who are affected by serious neuropsychological problems directed by the nuns of Maria Consolatrice.

The Representation of Pavia offers regular support for the sustentation of the little patients, recently the Delegation offered 4 hundredweights of rice and two hundredweights of pasta. Following the religious ceremony, Prince Augusto Ruffo of Calabria offered 500 Panettoni (an Italian traditional Christmas cake) to the elderly attending the Mass. Among those in attendance were the Prefect of Pavia , the Mayor and the local Head of the Police Administration.

During the Liturgy, the Grand Chancellor of the Order, Marquis Aldo Pezzana Capranica del Grillo, interpreted the first lecture and the Responsorial Psalm, the President of the Royal Deputation Prince Paolo Boncompagni Ludovisi, read the Second Lecture. Professor Leonardo Saviano recited the prayer of the faithful.
Among those in attendance were Delegate for Rome and Lazio Prince Alessandrojacopo Ludovisi Altemps, H.E. the Ambassador of Italy to the Holy See, Giuseppe Balboni Acqua, H.E. Jean Claude Michel Ambassador of Monaco to the Holy See, H.E. the Prefect of Rome Dr Achille Serra and Princess Elisa Massimo.

Following the Mass the Constantinian Musical Chapel wonderfullyperformed the hymn “Tota Pulchra”composed by Father A. Borromini.
...and in Palermo
The knights and dames of the Delegation of Sicily, coordinated by Dr Antonio di Janni and by the Archbishop of Monreale Mons. Cataldo Naro, Prior of the Sicilian Delegation emotionally joined the knights and dames in Rome to conclude the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception. Whilst the Cardinal Grand Prior celebrated in the Basilica dei Santi Apostoli in Rome, Most Rev. Mons Salvatore Grimaldi , Constantinian Chaplain, presided a suggestive ceremony attended by many knights and dames from Sicily. During the ceremony Mrs Carla Almirante Romagnoli donated a portrait of the Patron Saint of the Order. Among those in attendance were H.E. the Prefect Gianfranco Romagnoli and General Antonio Jovane.
Following the celebration the Delegation of Palermo distributed several containers of food to the charity associations supported by the Sicilian Delegation of Constantinian Order and 4 hundred weights of pasta to the charity refectory of the Archdiocese of Monreale.

A gala evening in Rome at the Auditorium in Via della Conciliazione took place on the occasion of the presentation of the latest musical opera by our confrere Corrado Calabrò entitled “Vento di Mykonos”. The work was realized in cooperation with Master Antonio Pappalardo and evokes the atmospheres, the sounds and the melodies of the south of Italy and the traditions of the hellenic culture. The most important authorities of the Order attended the event headed by the Grand Chancellor H.E. Marquis Aldo Pezzana Capranica del Grillo. Among the constantinian knights in attendance were the President of the Constitutional Court Dott. Cesare Ruperto, President Giuseppe Chiaravalloti, the President of the Juridical Council of the Order Dott. Pasquale De Lise, Prince and Princess Ruspoli and the Marquise Flaminia Naro Montoro.
