Pilgrimage in honour of San Pio from Pietrelcina, organized by the Sacred Military Constantinian Order

The Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George wants to make a pilgrimage in honour of San Pio from Pietrelcina, on His first liturgical feast, next 23 September.

The Grand Prior of the Order, His Eminence Cardinal Mario F. Pompedda, will celebrate a Solemn Pontifical Mass at 6,00 pm in the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie in San Giovanni Rotondo.

This occasion will allow all participants to leave a concrete sign of their solidarity to the work begun by the Saint in San Giovanni Rotondo. In fact the Constantinian Order has promised assistance and escort of specialised personnel and suitable structures to a group of young disabled people who will attend the solemn celebration in the Church’s presbytery.

As a sign of devotion, the Order – always accomplishing its mission of propagation of the faith and implementation of the Gospel’s message of brotherhood and charity - has also decided to contribute in the support of the "Casa di Sollievo della Sofferenza" through charitable activities.
