H.R.H. PRINCE CHARLES OF BOURBON TWO SICILIES, DUKE OF CASTRO, IN NAPLES FOR THE SOLEMNITY OF SAINT GEORGE

Naples, 23rd – 24th April 2016.  H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies, Duke of Castro and Grand Master of the Constantinian Order, went to visit Naples to attend the solemnity of Saint George the Martyr, Patron of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George.

The 23rd April was an eventful and busy day for H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies who, accompanied by the Delegate for Naples and Campania, Marquis Don Pierluigi Sanfelice di Bagnoli, visited the city of Pompei.

Afterwards, H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies visited and inaugurated the Pompei Polyclinic, one of the “social voluntary” units which is most responsive to the needs of the region.

At 6 p.m., a solemn Eucharistic Ceremony with the Investiture Rite of new Knights and Dames was held at the Constantinian Pontifical Basilica of San Francesco da Paola.  The ceremony was presided over by the Prior of the Delegation, the Most Reverend Father Damiano La Rosa, Ecclesiastical Knight Commander of Grace.

On Sunday, 24th April, at 11.45, he visited the Basilica of Santa Lucia a Mare where H.R.H. Prince Charles of Bourbon Two Sicilies hosted a lunch for the poorer members of the community of Pallonetto Santa Lucia and, through the Constantinian Order, was “actually near” a poor family of Pallonetto and hand over a cheque to Father Giuseppe Carmelo for the purchase of an iron door.

H.E. the Grand Inquisitor, Don Fabrizio Cononna of the Princes of Paliano was also present during these two very busy and eventful days.
